I presented my paper, “A Strong Sense of Outrage: Stan Strachan, the National Thrift News and the Savings and Loan Crisis” on Aug. 8 at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications Conference in San Francisco. The paper was selected for the “Refereed Paper Research Session: Top Papers” in the AEJMC History Division. It won the top student paper award.
